What are mistakes?

If you're someone who has ever done something in such a horrid or impractical way, then, chances are, you know how bad it must feel to mess things up. A mistake is simply doing something that should not have been done to begin with. Anything can lead to a mistake. For instance, You could be taking a test in class and then find out that you only answered half of the questions wrong. You could be walking along the sidewalk and then fall straight on your face on a completely flat surface. You could be jumping on your bed until things get too far, and pretty soon, you're only visible from the neck down because the rest of you has somehow managed to literally blow the roof off this place. The point is, these are all very common mistakes that can be made at any given time or place.

Why is this important?

Okay, now that  I got all of that out of the way, you're probably wondering why all of this is important. Well, I'm about to tell you that right now. There is something that separates an error from a non-error. It's that non errors are much more favorable than errors. But, I'm about to tell you why errors should be just as favorable as non errors. While we tend to feel good about ourselves if we do something right, we have the opposite feeling if we do something completely wrong. However, while our successes teach us to replicate an action, mistakes teach us to do something completely different. Whether this makes sense or not, mistakes can teach us so much and therefore, make us grow as a result. To sum this up, if we never made mistakes, then we wouldn't be able to learn anything. And that, is why it is
important to make mistakes.
